June 15, 2002 - Make-It 'N Take-It

    It's always interesting for me to sometimes find out how somethings happen.  For instance our participation in this event. I am a avid classic car buff and own a great piece of American automobile history myself, 1967 Pontiac Catalina Convertible.  Well, while talking with a friend who is a member at this church, I mentioned that they had a great location and parking lot to hold such an event. One thing led to another and boom, they held their first event.   Held at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Zanesville, this was the first annual Ice Cream Social, Car Show, Craft Sale held at the church.  At this car show, they actually paid the participants, by giving the 1:1 car owners a $3.00 voucher for food inside at the Ice Cream Social.  

    The event was a real success, if you consider everything else that was happening that day and the weather earlier in the morning.  There were a total of 16 1:1 Cars show up for the Cruise-In, and around 24 Kits made at the Make-It 'N Take-It - a great success!!.  Members helping out at this event included Ted & Cindy Quinn, Gene King, Sean Dooley, Adam Grossenbaugh, & Rick Darby.  This is the first of many MNT's that we'll be doing over the summer at events like these!
